Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of our most Frequently Asked Questions. If you have another question that we have not addressed, send us an email.

What is One Medical Group?
We are a group of academically-trained physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. We offer a totally new level of service for our patients, providing preventive education as well as acute medical care in a new office setting. We use information technology and other unique tools to help us take better care of you—no matter where you are or what your issue is.
What kind of medical care do you offer?
As internists and family practitioners, we manage everything from annual health assessment and screenings to highly complex chronic medical conditions. At present, we provide care for patients ages 12 and up. View our full list of services.
What does your membership fee cover? What's different about your practice?
Unlike most medical practices, ours is designed to meet your needs. Here are some examples of what makes us different:

  • You don't need to wait two months to see a physician. If you call us in the morning, we will see you that same day.
  • We stay on schedule so you stay on schedule.
  • We listen carefully to your needs, and actively seek out your feedback to improve our practice.
  • We take our time to listen to your concerns and educate you about your health.
  • You can email a health care provider with quick questions that may not require a visit.
  • You can request prescription renewals online without calling the office.
Your membership fee covers the cost of the technology and other resources that allow us to provide you with these unique services.
Do you accept my insurance?
Currently, we accept most forms of PPO and HMO insurance as well as Medicare. As with any visit to a doctor, you're expected to pay any co-payments and/or deductibles that your health plan may require. The annual membership fee currently is not covered by insurance.
Can I still see you if I don’t have any health insurance?
Yes. If you don't currently have any health insurance, we charge our members a discounted rate of $150 per visit. For non-members, it’s $220 per visit.
How much will it cost for me to be a patient at One Medical Group?
We charge an annual membership fee, with no initiation fee or “processing” fees. When you come in for medical services your health insurance will be billed, and you will be expected to pay your usual co-payments and deductibles—just like you would with any other physician.
What do I need to do to sign up?
If you are interested in becoming a member of One Medical, all you need to do is complete our simple registration form. Then schedule an appointment with us at your convenience by either emailing or calling us.
Where are you located?
We have several convenient locations in San Francisco and New York. View our current locations and hours.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes! We welcome new patients every day and don’t expect to ever “close” our practice. As the number of patients we have increases, we’ll continue to add more skilled providers to continue to meet your needs.
Wow, this is great! Can I spread the word? Is there anything I can do to help?
Yes, please. Tell your friends and coworkers! Post reviews about us online. As we continue to grow, we'll be able to offer even better services for you.
