Planning a trip outside of the United States? If you're headed to a developing country, a tropical latitude, or a remote destination, you may need preventive vaccinations in advance of your trip. In addition, you might also need to take special medications with you, such as drugs to prevent malaria or altitude sickness.
Our travel health team can help get you ready for your journey. We will review your itinerary and medical history, provide the necessary vaccinations and medications, and give you tips for staying healthy throughout your travels. Ideally, you should contact us six weeks before your departure so that we can administer all the necessary vaccines in time, but we offer help to last-minute travelers too.

Pricing and Insurance Coverage
Email consultations and electronic prescriptions are free to One Medical members. If you require an office appointment for vaccinations, our fee is $50 plus the cost of the vaccines you receive. (These range from $30 to $150 per shot.) We ask for payment in full at the time of your office visit.
Health insurance plans rarely cover travel health expenses. The best way to determine the extent of your coverage is to call the number on your insurance card and ask. If needed, we can assist you in submitting a claim for reimbursement.
Special Vaccinations
Certain vaccinations, including those against rabies, yellow fever and Japanese encephalitis, are only available at specialized travel clinics. We’ll help you determine whether you need any of these vaccines and direct you to the appropriate clinic. Note that travelers to equatorial Africa and parts of South America will require proof of vaccination against yellow fever. For more details, visit the CDC travel website.
